Am Off, Loaded With Calcium

I am off, working on a feature story, to hopefully be ready for this Friday's installment of "Flashback Friday" it is from 2002 and depicts some bizarre occurrences.
By Friday, I will also know the outcome of the court proceedings, which my freedom to travel could be dependent upon.
Eating 100 crawfish kind of gave me an icky feeling the next day...I felt like I was developing an ecto skeleton; the webs between my thumbs and fingers felt funny...  I'm sure that I was loaded with calcium...

  1. Hauled the damned dresser and drawings/paintings around and no one wanted 'em. Got a fat juicy IOU for the aircraft instruments though, I'll get the $ for that tomorrow. Tomorrow when I have a lesson and pay for March's lessons in cornet/trumpet. Essentially I have $2.75 to my name until Saturday.

I really do think the lessons are a good investment, far better than something idiotic like college. I actually had a friend get all incredulous at the thought that I was paying $120 a month to a trumpet teacher. I could not explain it in a way that satisfied him, until I said, "Look, some people play golf, some pay hookers, as a HOBBY goes, this is pretty cheap. It's a hobby." He could understand a guy having a hobby.

On Flashback Fridays, I personally would like to hear about how you got so knowledgeable and skilled in music. Somewhere back in time, you put in some real work. Did you take lessons? Play along with the radio obsessively? Play on the toilet like George Harrison was rumored to do? You are skilled. Not a beggar using a guitar as a prop. You are a Musician. How did you become a Musician? I want to know and that means many others want to know, too.

Comments, to me are like deflated helium balloons with notes tied to them, found on my back porch in the morning...
