A Nice welcome from Tanya and Dorise, who broke into the the song "Daniel," after I had walked past on Royal Street. |
I Busked on Bourbon Street past the curfew,
but only for about 15 minutes and long enough to get 2 dollars and 25 cents from one person. Then, I realized the stupidity of busking at a spot on the same night (Wed.) when I had gotten written up by the horse cops, at about the same time that the horse cops had come through.

I talked to Barnaby, who was sitting at his condo across the street and who asked me for a cigarette, saying that he was flat broke; sitting there in front of his condo which costs him $1,450 a month (but for that he gets two (2) chandeliers), he said...
I then went to Royal Street after that and jammed with two younger, gutter punk looking kids who said that they needed to make some money.
I told them that we would jam and that they could keep whatever money we made.
After we had made about 10 bucks that way, I decided to leave, thinking that they might at least throw me a couple bucks, even though I had said that they could keep all of it. It didn't seem like they were making much at all before I arrived; but they didn't. They did "smoke me up," though....
Back in NOLA to stay, then?
