Elvis Costello - Either Side Of The Same Town

Why do I aspire to this mans level of ability like a swimmer 10 feet down with his lungs bursting for air?
Play the video and realize that he has written like 5,000 just as good as this...

    I guess he's OK ... I liked the songs "Victoria" and "Pump it up" when he was new. I mostly regard him highly for his helping the trumpeter Chet Baker in his last years and apparently he did a bit for New Orleans after the flood (he's in the TV series Treme as well as, I spotted Doreen the Clarinet Queen).
