Strung Along

I have been trying to get in touch with the guy who said that he was going to get me some new strings.
I left a message on his phone, saying that I had actually managed to make enough money using the crappy strings, so that I could buy my own, if only he gave me a ride to the store downtown, which is not far from the place downtown where several people have told me that I should set up and play at.
There is a "festival" of some kind going on tonight, the weather is fine, and what better way to test Baton Rouge to see if it can support a street musician in any material way; not that I am thinking of settling here (only 22% thinking of settling here...)

Would I love to get my hands on one of these babies!!
So, I must go off to do these things now...
I have been spending a lions share of my computer time working on stories for the Flashback Friday series; and a lot on Facebook, after unwittinly posting status statements and then recieving a barrage of comments and messages from people that I had forgotten existed and feeling complelled to respond; especially to the humorous ones....
It is 3 p.m., the time that I told Courtney, as that is his name, that I would probably be at the Chevron station on Scenic Highway. I'd better go.
My "Audience" For Today...
I might be able to fanagle Howard into springing for bus fare down to the music store, also.

  1. I don't do Facebook, they're too evil for me, but it may be a good tool for you - you might try seeing if you can get up a "Greyhound bus ticket fund" and maybe in that way levitate yourself on an ethereal magic carpet of 1's and 0's to California.

Comments, to me are like deflated helium balloons with notes tied to them, found on my back porch in the morning...
