...football, features the home town team visiting Dallas in a game that the locals have already taken for granted as being the Saints 11th straight win...
I have this feeling that I've gotten in the past when people have taken things for granted, and I wish I had a bookie and, of course, money to throw on the Cowboys...I'm sure they are getting points...
Bourbon Street will be waiting for me after the game... |
So, who won the game? Because in my admittedly rather limited experience, if a team wins a home game, the tips can be really good.
ReplyDeleteThe idea, I'd think, would be to busk a bit more, make/sell some paintings, drawings, CD's, hell guitar picks, anything, so your living is as an artist rather than as a skeezer who sells their plasma.
Hey, selling plasma doth not a skeezer make...
ReplyDeleteI don't know about NOLA, but other than offering CD's for a DONATION, selling merch isn't considered a constitutionally protected free speech right like busking and usually requires a separate vendors license.
At least where I am they're pretty lax about such things. I've seen artist, craftsmen, etc set up with zero problems. The cops around here seem very chill.
ReplyDeleteI'd assume New Orleans to be the same. If you're neat and clean, play decent music, have some things laid out but not a huge garish display, I think you're good. The cops have got real crime to worry about.
