"Productivity tools have usurped my time, to the point that Im getting very little done." -Me
And so it came to pass that I created an alter ego for myself; the heavyweight boxing champion of the world, as a matter of fact and, so was born Thuds Bono, heavyweight champion of the world..an alter ego of mine that I allow to take over my ego for certain stretches of time. When I want to revert to a more neutral state of being, Thuds usually protests and threatens to "slap the shit out of" me, but, as with any alter ego, he capitulates.
But, as him, I say things like: "Sometimes it takes less energy to do a thing than to have to be contantly threatening to do a thing" -"Thuds Bono"
I find this to be cathartic.
The rock at the very cap of a pyramid is a pyramid; have you ever thought about that? The guy who got to 'cap off' the construction project of any of the pyramids, placed a tiny pyramid maybe just larger than a bar of soap, at the very top of the thing, like putting the star on top of a Christmas tree.. They could have made the very top rock any size they wanted, I suppose, but it would have been pyramid shaped...
This line is a humungous test of the vocabulary tracker/flagger script that I wrote* and that I send all these posts through, to make the first three characters of every paragraph larger than the rest of the text, and in a 'cursive' font style. It also changes the color of each succesive paragraph to a different 'pastel' shade light enough to show up against the very dark background I use.
I use a not totally black background. My friend, Hubert, who was an art major, told me that, in nature and in art imitating it, one never sees a totally black shade of color. Other light bleeds in and/or reflects off of the black surface and you are not seeing totally black. You can take the tube of black "artists" paint, and smear it somewhere on the canvas, but it will look unnatural, and not accomplish your purpose of showing a totally black object, due in large part to the eyeballs of the human observer...
Let me fish for some vocabulary which has never appeared in this blog, going back to 2006...
A pillar of society and a worthy, curmudgeonly foisted upon the indignant imagination of a scrupulous parrot on a hang-glider.
A morally upright cough drop salesman who puts a tan valise on the trunk of the old Packard before keeling over and falling through a hole in the ground, 8 kilometers deep, with much rectitude in his deportment and adorned in full coal miner's regalia.
There; that ought to show me if the 'newly used vocabulary' function is functioning...
That's about all for now. I got a new phone and will soon have figured out how to make a living online with it...
